Srinivas Rajagopal, worked his way up from clerical level to become Regional HOD Market Research in a large Advertising Agency. Ran his own Market Research and Advertising Consultancy for 10 years.  He took up teaching Market Research an entered the emerging apparel, fashion and textile industry in 1994.

He set up an Apparel Resource Center, and became a  knowledge service provider for Apparel, Textile and Fashion Training Institutes in 2008.He is a Visiting Faculty to Management Institutes, B-schools where he teaches, holds seminars and workshops on  Marketing, Market Research & Consumer Behavior. He is a Visiting Faculty Fashion Textile Training Institutes on Apparel Technology (including Knitting Technology), Garment Manufacturing and Management, Industrial Pattern Design, Fashion Business Theory, Merchandising, Fashion Marketing, Advertising and Promotion, Lifestyle and Event Management. He also provides Technical consultancy to Apparel, Fashion and Textile Training Institutes.

With a First Class, with Distinctions in Physics and English AISSC (1966) and GCE-O Level (1967),  he was selected and awarded the National Science Talent Scholarship to study B.Sc. Honours Physics at Central College, Bangalore 1968-71. And shifted to media and advertising when he completed his Diploma in Journalism, Dateline School of Journalism, New Delhi, 1972.

Born on 30 September, 1951 in New Delhi to Malathi and D.Rajagopal (RAF officer), is also a professional performing musician.
